Harnessing Wireless Networks for Rural Development
Yahel Ben-David--AirJaldi's founder and CTO--will present AirJaldi’s vision for proliferating rural Internet connectivity and share experiences from the field. This talk will shed light on the exciting Open-Source technologies being deployed in rural India and illustrate how AirJaldi is adapting products to fit the needs and realities of rural communities--as well as meeting the challenges of a social enterprise struggling to maintain economic viability.
Yahel's short presentation will set the stage for an extensive and lively Q&A session, allowing in-depth discussions on the business, social mission, technological, and policy issues surrounding AirJaldi's work.
This event is co-sponsored by the Goldman School of Public Policy & the Center for Information Technology in the Interest of Society (CITRIS). ---------------------- Last Updated: October 7, 2007 - 8:12pm
