Abstract:
This presentation will offer a perspective on education, research and practices related to the notion of sustainability and environmental performance measurement. Examples of what has been accomplished as well as what is still planned will be given, with emphasis of what UC Berkeley's role has been and promises to be. The examples shown will be from the area of infrastructure and electronics. The soon-to-be-launched "Engineering for Sustainability and Environmental Management" certificate program will be introduced.
