Abstract:
Wireless sensor networks offer a the promise of affordable access to much richer data streams from a variety of environments. Professor Sitar will discuss his experience with deployment of wireless sensor networks for monitoring of seismic site response, wildfires, and underground environment. The purpose is to explore the state of the art from the user's point of view and to look at possible synergies in the development of future research applications.
