CITRIS Holiday Gala

  • December 7, 2007: 3:00pm - 5:00pm
  • Location: Gordon and Betty Moore Lobby, Hearst Memorial Mining Building, UC Berkeley

Please mark your calendars for two exciting events at CITRIS on Friday, December 7th: the Holiday Gala and the Tin Can Carousel performance, both in the Gordon and Betty Moore Lobby of the Hearst Memorial Mining Building on the UC Berkeley campus.

Beginning at 4:00 p.m., the annual holiday party for members of the entire CITRIS community will feature carolers and refreshments, along with the chance to catch up with other CITRIS researchers and supporters in a festive surrounding.

And then at 6:00 p.m., members of the Tin Can Carousel Project will give a performance involving five carousels from all-recycled materials that will combine the time-honored technique of puppeteering with the recent digital control technology to create a novel narrative experience. This performance is in association with the Berkeley Center for New Media and is led by Greg Niemeyer and Lydia Greer.
