Symposium on Electric Vehicles

  • March 10, 2007: 8:00am - 2:00pm
  • Contact: John Connors
  • Location: E2 - Simularium, UC Santa Cruz

On March 10th, CITRIS and the School of Engineering at UC Santa Cruz, will host a special event to showcase the emerging electric vehicles technologies. A range of speakers will explain the sociological and political issues of integrating electric vehicles in our society, as well demonstrate the technological advances that have transformed the vehicles into practical, efficient transportation suitable for the majority of our needs.

Electric vehicles not only decrease emissions and pollutants but also decrease the US dependency on foreign oil and international relations. Further advances in battery and motor technology allow electric vehicles to out perform combustion engines and result in more thrilling vehicles.
