March 27, 2007

Taipei, TAIWAN

We would like to cordially invite you to attend our next "CITRIS - Asia" meeting on March 27, 2007, at Barry Lam Hall, National Taiwan University, Taipei.

CITRIS (www.citris-uc.org) is the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society, a powerful partnership of university, industry, and government, centered within the University of California. Our mission is to create and harness information technology to tackle some of society's most critical needs, with more than 300 faculty members from over 50 departments at four UC campuses (Berkeley, Davis, Merced, and Santa Cruz)

At this meeting we will update you on our accomplishments and the impact that we believe we are having with our research. We feel that this setting and the planned agenda gives us an opportune means with which to interact and engage with you to get your feedback and comments on our work.

CITRIS faculty members will give technical talks throughout the day, presenting their findings and holding discussion sessions in key areas, such as

  • The Future of Wireless Computing and the Internet
  • Electronic Design Automation
  • Digital Houses and Security
  • Computing Power.

The CITRIS website is rich with more detailed information, and an excellent summary of our work may be found at research/citris_project_list.

Your participation is very important to us, and we sincerely hope that you will accept this invitation to join with your colleagues in what promises to be a valuable experience. Invitations are being sent throughout Asia, and a meeting website with more information and registration has been set up at Taiwan-2007. The event is free to all those who register.

Again, please save this date on your calendar,. We look forward to seeing you in March.
