CITRIS, the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society, presented the second CITRIS-Asia Research Symposium: Innovative Technologies in the Service of Society, on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at the National Taiwan University in Taipei. At this meeting, University of California professors and affiliated researchers gave technical talks in three sessions:

The Future of Computing and Communications Technologies ,” which will be a cross-section of talks covering such topics as advances in wireless and optics communications and new MEMS structures;
Future of CAD/CAM ," which will include presentations on Electronic Design Automation and Computer-Aided Manufacturing; and
"The Future of Societal-scale Systems," which will feature talks on such topics as tele-immersion, computer security and sensor webs.
