Center for Biopharmaceutical Operations Workshop

Please join us for a day-long Biopharmaceutical Operations workshop to examine critical issues in biopharmaceutical operations, featuring key decision makers from major local and national biopharmaceutical firms, as well as members of the UC Community. \

The goal of this workshop is to develop a focused list of research issues and practical next steps to further the state of the art in biopharmaceutical operations. The workshop will include a keynote address by Pat Yang, Genentech Executive Vice President of Product Operations, a panel discussions with representatives of Bayer and Biomarin, and presentations about past and current biopharmaceutical industry projects. Please note that a limited number of faculty members are subsidized by UC Discovery.

Background: UC Berkeley has been developing the Center for Biopharmaceutical Operations (CBO) to bring together academic researchers from throughout the University of California with diverse expertise and industrial experience and biopharmaceutical professionals. The goal of CBO is to advance the state of the art of biopharmaceutical operations by facilitating collaboration between academia and industry, conducting biopharmaceutical operations benchmarking studies, establishing projects to improve the current body of research and operational performance in industry, developing and providing educational seminars, and providing industry with world class employees.
