Gas-CAP Challenge

The Gas-CAP tool is designed to push the boundaries of thinking in terms of emissions goals and feasibility.  In the interests of sparking lively discussion both during and after the conference, we encourage you to take the Gas-CAP Challenge.

The Challenge:

Using Gas-CAP, set a global CO2 emissions  target and define a CO2 emissions trajectory by nation and sector that:

  • Is feasible based on your expert judgment
  • Stabilizes at the CO2 ppm that you believe we need to achieve

 

The Discussion: 

We’ll be hosting a conference call in mid-July to discuss & debate Gas-CAP scenarios:

 

  • Scenarios developed
  • Feasibility of the trajectories
  • Policy, technology, or business model changes required
