Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)Q: Do I need any special software to run Gas-CAP? A: Gas-CAP runs on the standard Adobe Flash Player. If your computer does not already have Flash installed, you can install it in under 5 minutes from the Adobe website: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/. Q: How do I start over? A: Hit the Refresh button on your browser.
Q: When I roll over the curves in the main chart, what do the numbers in the pop-up box mean? A: On the Emissions line, the first number is the emissions is Gt CO2 released in that year for the selected country or sector; the second number is that number as a percentage of total emissions shown on the graph in that year. On the Emissions (total) line, the number is the total emissions shown on the graph in that year. For example, on the Worldwide Emissions by Nation graph, rolling over the USA curve for 2000 produces a pop-up box with 3 numbers: 5.8 Gt CO2 released in that year, representing 18.1% of the global total of 32 Gt. Q: How do I make the slider land on exactly the number I want? A: The slider can be moved in two ways - with your mouse or by using the arrow keys on your keyboard. The arrow keys will give you more precision to hit exactly the number you want.
