Big Ideas contest, posters and judging

Come learn about innovative ideas for using IT in the interest of society. We will hold a poster session with the top entries in this year's Big Idea competition, followed by the award ceremony for the judged winners. This event is free, open to the public and refreshments will be served. 

This year's top projects are, in no particular order:

  • Point of care device, led by Karl Skucha

  • Cell Phones to Increase Nigerian Community Health, led by Evelyn Castle
  • Virtual Doctor, led by Muhammad Azfar Nisar
  • Squash and Vine, led by Shawna Hein
  • Community Assessment of Renewable Energy and Sustainability Project, led by Ryan Shelby
  • Intelligent Traffic Light Control With Wireless Vehicle-to-Vehicle
    and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure communication, led by Kartik Pandit
  • Citizens.gov, led by Mili Mittal
