Energy and Environmental Monitoring

Energy and the environment are about our future quality of life. Today we are naturally very concerned about rising energy costs and the availability of energy sources. At the same time ' as we follow the debates among climatologists and environmentalists ' we are all concerned about "global warming" and its potential impact on our children's future. CITRIS leads a wide range of projects in these areas.

  • 1. The Helios Project
      • Led by LBNL and Berkeley campus faculty
      • Studying renewable energy sources (solar, wind, biomass, bio-fuels, and all aspects of renewable energy)
  • 2. Supply Side Distributed Generation and Consumption
