Innovation in Services Conference: The Service of Healthcare
- September 17, 2008: 3:00pm - September 18, 2008: 4:00pm
- Location: Berkeley City Club, 2315 Durant, Berkeley CA
This conference asks the deceptively simple question “How can we improve the
Service of healthcare?” This topic will be examined from a variety of
viewpoints including the emerging field of services science, engineering,
management, and the field of health services research. Specifically, we ask
“What set of incentives, decision-making structures, skills and information lead
healthcare stakeholders to identify and solve problems for their customers?” We
look forward to the contributions, perspectives and advances of the conference
participants in the innovative design, implementation, evaluation, and
scalability of solutions for improving the service of healthcare for its
stakeholders.
